The organizing committee extends a cordial invitation to you to come to Neuchâtel to attend the 2nd workshop on Progress on Ultrafast Laser Modifications of Materials.
The workshop model is a single session conference with mainly invited talks, supplemented by a few selected oral talks from abstract submissions and a solid poster sessions. The primary objectives is to gather experts, students and young researchers in a remote, stimulating and mind-lifting environment where participants will have a chance to present their lastest results, to interact and to exchange ideas on the exciting topic of ultrafast laser modificaiton of materials.
The symposium will take place in the beautiful and historical city of Neuchâtel, Switzerland, from the 13th to the 16th June 2016. It will be hosted by Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), in the new Microcity building. More detailed about the venue can be found here.
Topics of particular interest
- Ultrafast Laser-matter interactions
- Laser-induced phase transformation
- 3D microfabrication processes through laser exposure and subsequent chemical etching
- Applications in Integrated optics, optofluidics, optemechanics
Be aware that the number of participants cannot exceed 150 participants.
